I bid $320 for the flights,
but I opted to skip the
"bonus" money offered from 3
large establishments (Bank
credit card, AT & T, and one
other). My bid was declined
after Priceline checked
"thousands" of records and
with major airlines & their
affiliates. I then picked up
the telephone, called
Continental Airlines, got the
fare on the exact dates I
requested from Priceline.
After which, I now suppose,
that Priceline acts as a
"promotional" company for
other major companies by
trying to get the consumer to
join or accept the "Bonus"
money offered from the
companies. Since I skipped
the offers, I believe that my
offer was rejected since I
would not "accept" a
transaction with these other
companies. Why else would I
have not been offered the $320
fare since it was a published
and available fare from
Continental Airlines? Well?
