Buying a Chevrolet
Referred to by car lovers as just “Chevy,” Chevrolet is a division of General Motors Corporation. In 2005, Chevrolet outsold Ford for the first time in 19 years, making it the top-selling brand in America.
Types of Vehicles
Chevrolet is best known for its sports utility vehicles, such as Suburban and Tahoe, as well as its infamous sports car, Corvette. The company also produces a wide-range of automobiles and vans. Some of the better known ones include:
- Avalanche (SUV/Truck)
- Trailblazer (SUV)
- Cobalt (Compact)
- Colorado (Truck)
- Impala ( Sedan)
- Malibu (Car)
- Silverado (Truck)
- SSR (Convertible Pickup Truck)
- Aveo, which is a Chevrolet four-door sedan, will be restyled for 2007.
Additionally, Chevrolet produces a line of commercial vans, as well as light- and medium-duty trucks that are well-received for their durability and reliability.
Old Becomes New
In response to other manufacturers who have re-released “classic” models, Chevrolet will bring back one of its most popular cars, the Chevrolet Camaro. The new “old” Chevrolet “muscle car” has been modernized but maintains that original styling everyone loves. While it is presently still considered a concept car, the Chevrolet Camaro may be released in 2008 or 2009. Chevrolet is also looking at offering vehicles in Europe, and eventually in the United States, which will use alternative fuels and are more environmentally friendly.
